Area in New Jersey. No further than Hr from NYC. Water and park with trees near by.?

searching for an area in New Jersey where there is a lake or beach near by. A body of water that would be no more than 20 minutes away by car. Also i am looking to be near a park with lots of trees that i can relax near by. I will be working in NYC. No further than on average of an hour away with flowing traffic. I know there has to be an area like this in NJ. a community where i can rent a one bedroom. not looking to buy.
