MEN, I really need your input (ladies who have experience too please)?

supprised he let you get away with the damage. he sounds like one of those people that will give matirial security and support to people in return for love or friendship or lust. i dont think he actually cares about you because he was clearly being blunt and short with you when yous last spoke, but maybe thats because he was simply tired of chasing after you? im not sure, but dont throw yourself at him i dont see any real commitment for a descent relationship, if anything he sounds just about good enough to be a pal.
