Do adults have sex all the time?

Like in high school (most) people wait til they've been boyfriend girlfriend for about a year to have sex, but on jersey shore there always hooking up with random girls and stuff. And on tv shows like sex and the city they're always having sex with their new boyfriends like on the first date! So ya um is this like real life??
