Have any of you had this experience with Priceline?
Priceline- You know, William Shatner. I booked a reservation through them and stayed at the Ramada early in April. When I made the reservations, I paid for them in advance through Priceline. Long story short, the hotel never received confirmation of my payment through Priceline and charged me again, about a week after my stay. I called Ramada, where I stayed, and told them that the charge is incorrect, they refunded the money immediately. However, their system is automated and still did not have confirmation of payment through Priceline so it continued to charge and they would manually refund (this happened three times). I called Priceline to have this corrected but, wouldn't you know it? All their "representatives" are in India. Long story short, it is now six weeks after my stay and I can't get Priceline to get this right yet, I'm still out the money. They haven't even offered a complimentary stay or discount (I have directly asked for it considering this whole debacle but, it's not Priceline's policy to do such things. UNBELIEVABLE!). Their attempt at apology is sorry to say the least, their customer service is inept once things go wrong, and getting things straight has been a nightmare. Just thought I'd let you all know what Priceline's potential is when you're making decisions this summer. Best of luck.
